Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)

 

Beacon uses the state-of-the-art, computer-assisted J-Tech Functional Capacity Evaluation System (FCE) to provide reproducible baselines of employees’ physical capacities.  These baselines aid in determining if the employee is capable of performing essential job tasks as a condition of employment. 

 

FCE's are conducted using specific testing protocols designed for the Client’s job descriptions.  This assures a new employee can meet the physical demands of the job without undue risk of injury.  Testing protocols are designed to be legally defensible and compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations. 

 

The FCE also allows objective assessments to accurately monitor treatment progress if an employee should sustain an injury.  Precise modified duty recommendations are prescribed and return to full duty determinations are made confidently with the support of the J-Tech system.
