Audiograms

 

Beacon can provide an annual audiogram to employees enrolled in Client’s Hearing Conservation Program. If a Hearing Conservation Program is needed, that can also be provided as described in our Industrial Hygiene Information.  The audiograms will be conducted under the appropriate conditions at Beacon’s Anchorage office or the employees’ work site. 

 

The test will be compared to the original/revised baseline and reviewed with the employee.   Beacon will require a copy of the employees’ baseline audiogram from the Client.  If the employee does not have an established baseline with the Client, the current test will serve as the employee’s baseline. The results of subsequent annual tests are compared to the original/revised baseline to ensure the employee has not incurred a Standard Threshold Shift (STS) or an OSHA Recordable Shift.  If possible Beacon will retest the employee after a 14-hour noise free environment to assess if it was a Temporary Threshold Shift (TTS), a confirmed STS or an OSHA Recordable Shift.
