Fit for Duty Testing

 

Fit for Duty testing is a rapidly growing component of employer occupational health programs.  The purpose of Fit for Duty testing includes:

  • Determines if physical abilities are sufficient to safely perform essential job functions
  • Establishes pre-injury baseline measurements
  • Measures and records any pre-existing impairments
  • Provides feedback and recommendations regarding physical fitness
  • Provides training on proper body mechanics for lifting, pushing and pulling
  • Provides a valid framework for determining accomodations for ADA case

There are two primary types of functional testing processes that we offer our clients:

  1. Post-offer, Pre-Placement Functional Examinations (for new hires) and
