Fire Extinguisher Training

Course Information: This course is designed to meet the requirements of OSHA 1910.157 Training Mandate for Portable Fire Extinguishers. The course will include review of the OSHA requirements for general workers to visually inspect and operate portable fire extinguishers in the workplace. It will also familiarize students with the different courses of fire and the appropriate selection of extinguishing agents to use on each type of fire. We will also discuss “size up” and technique while operating the extinguisher, as well as general fire safety tips for work and home. This class does not certify for annual inspection.
